Change of Address

For current LRSD students who have moved to a new address.

  • If requesting a transfer, this form can only be used to transfer to your new neighborhood (attendance zone) school.

  • If the neighborhood (attendance zone) school is at capacity, the next closest school with seats available will be offered.

  • If you move in the middle of the school year, students may remain at their assigned school for the remainder of the current school year with NO TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED BY THE DISTRICT. Students will be assigned to the neighborhood (attendance zone) school for the upcoming school year.  If a student was alternately assigned, they will be AUTOMATICALLY ASSIGNED to the neighborhood (attendance zone) school for the upcoming school year.

School Choice Forms

Families in the state of Arkansas may apply to attend a district other than the one in which they reside, subject to certain restrictions. Applications will be available at the Student Registration Office for students from various counties in Arkansas. If granted, no transportation will be provided by the district. Seats are subject to availability. Interested parents must come to the Student Registration Office to apply. For an Arkansas School Choice application -- click here. All required documentation must be submitted with an application. The application must be time/date stamped. The application window is from January 1st - May 1st. 

Petition for Transfer of Students

A Legal Transfer Application/Board to Board must be completed in order for a parent/guardian to request a transfer for their student to attend a school outside of their school district's attendance zone. The Legal Transfer Application must be completed in the resident district first. If approved by the resident district Superintendent/Board of Directors, the application will then be forwarded to the non-resident District for approval.

Notice of Intent to Home School (NOI)

The Notice of Intent to Home School (NOI) is the registration form required by law each academic year in order to home school in Arkansas. By submitting an NOI, parents assume the full responsibility of educating their children – including the financial cost of curriculum – that would otherwise fall to the local public school district in which they reside.
